MARCOM Annual Conference is Canada’s only marketing and communications conference developed exclusively for the nonprofit and public sectors.
Now in its 19th year, MARCOM Annual Conference will take place on May 30-31, 2017 at the Shaw Centre in the heart of downtown Ottawa. This year marks Canada’s 150th birthday; one more reason to visit the nation’s capital and embrace all that will be organized to celebrate this momentous year.
The two-day conference addresses the trends and topics that are most relevant to these sectors and provides strategies and tools to help participants become more effective marketers and communicators in their many roles.
Attendees count on MARCOM to deliver the latest trends in marketing and communications, source subject matter experts and thought leaders, share new Canadian case studies, ensure the full cycle of marketing in its traditional and digital forms is addressed, and provide opportunities to network with like-minded individuals.
MARCOM Management works closely with an Advisory Committee from the nonprofit and public sectors, including industry experts, to ensure that educational content aligns with the needs and interests of these sectors and pushes the envelope in forecasting the future.
MARCOM is produced by the Centre of Excellence for Public Sector Marketing (CEPSM), established in 2005, to help governments, nonprofits and associations overcome the unique, daily challenges they face in their marketing and communications initiatives. CEPSM’s core functions are speaking, training and consulting and our Mission is to advance the marketing and communications disciplines in the nonprofit and public sectors. CEPSM’s mantra is Strategy before Tactics. For more, visit https://cepsm.ca
Why is MARCOM Important to our Audiences?
The public sector, associations and nonprofits operate in unique environments. They often operate under restrictive budgets and cultures that don’t always appreciate the role of marketing. Their actions are open to public scrutiny and their mandates are usually attached to long-term goals that require changing the behaviour of their constituents. In a word, it can be complicated.
MARCOM helps by simplifying attendees’ work lives. MARCOM provides new ideas, solutions and sources for overcoming these challenges. MARCOM (the conference) is that face-to-face opportunity where relationships are rekindled and new connections are made. MARCOM (the perpetual opportunity) is where the real value resonates – all year long as attendees, vendors and other stakeholders re-connect to continue the conversation.
Why Should You Get Involved?
MARCOM has a dedicated group of corporate sponsors that rely on the conference to deliver the kinds of audiences who can benefit from their products, services and professional advice.
Companies that support MARCOM send a clear message to the marketplace that they understand the constraints and opportunities of these sectors and position themselves as thought leaders and experts who can add value and long-term support to these sectors.
A sponsorship at MARCOM ties your brand to one of the most recognizable and trusted brands for delivering high-quality education to the nonprofit and public sectors. It provides an opportunity for you to deliver your messages when decision-makers and those recommending new solutions are most receptive and interested.
Also, when you partner with MARCOM, you have the added advantage of associating your organization with CEPSM that communicates all year long in-person and online through its core areas of expertise in marketing and specifically in consulting, training and speaking across Canada.
Through MARCOM Annual Conference and year-round marketing opportunities, CEPSM offers multiple levels of investment that are aimed at achieving a wide range of business objectives.
